Happy Retirement Carol!

It’s the end of an era! We are sorry to announce that our long-time Meat Manager, Carol Arden, will be retiring from her position this Saturday, March 31, 2012, after 28 years with Country Food Mart. Carol worked hard for many years, preparing quality fresh cuts of meat for our customers, as well as keeping the meat freezer and deli wall stocked with goods.

Carol wasn’t always Meat Manager though. Many years ago, after working in the Grocery Department for awhile, Carol made the transition to the Meat Department, starting out as a Meat Wrap, working her way up to Meat Cutter, until finally taking over as department manager. Thanks to Carol, customers come from as far away as Calgary for our quality cuts and fair prices in our meat section.  We are very appreciative to Carol for her many years of service. Please join us this Friday in celebrating Carol’s career with some coffee and cake!
